Shirley Andrusiak

BIO
Shirley Andrusiak is a registered physio-therapist with over 47 years of clinical experience. After graduating from the University of Saskatchewan in 1977, Shirley was offered a job at Victoria Union Hospital in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. The hospital offered diversified rotations that included paediatrics, acute care, intensive care, cardiopulmonary, burns, neurological rehab, extended care, and outpatient orthopaedics and sports medicine.
One year later, she accepted the position of Director of Physical Therapy at the hospital and remained in that position for the next nine years. In 1979, Shirley completed her degree at the University of Saskatchewan, graduating with a Bachelor of Physical Therapy with Distinction. In 1986, she opened Prince Albert's first Private Practice Physiotherapy Clinic, known as South Hill Physiotherapy Clinic. She remained in Prince Albert until 1992 when she joined a partnership at Black Mountain Physiotherapy Clinic in Kelowna, British Columbia. Soon after moving to Kelowna, the business expanded to include both Glenmore Physiotherapy Clinic and Guisachan Physiotherapy Clinic.
Now celebrating 38 years in business, Shirley owns and operates Guisachan Physiotherapy Clinic.
QUALIFYING EXPERIENCE
Shirley has extensive experience in orthopaedic care. She has completed 22 continuing education courses that strengthen her manual techniques for treating dysfunctions and derangements. She has completed all four courses through the McKenzie Institute for cervical, thoracic and lumbar conditions. Shirley has a special interest in the treatment of lower back pain, using the McKenzie Approach to treatment.
At her clinic, patients receive compassionate care and effective results in their physical therapy treatments. Shirley has successfully helped thousands to relieve pain and return to the joys of actively living.
Shirley believes in integrating all systems to decrease pain and restore movement while achieving optimal function. She strives to educate her patients to promote a total well being and prevent further injury.
Kristi Scott

BIO
Kristi is a registered physiotherapist. She joined her mother, Shirley Andrusiak, at Guisachan Physiotherapy after graduating from the Masters of Science in Physical Therapy Program at the University of Alberta in 2010. She also holds an Undergraduate Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Victoria.
QUALIFYING EXPERIENCE
Kristi has 14 years of clinical experience and has completed numerous continuing education courses since completing her Master's degree. These courses include Orthopedic Manual Therapy, Kinesio taping, treatment of vertigo, Fit Fore Golf, and Sports First Responder. She has also completed her training with the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute and is certified to perform acupuncture.
Kristi brings an energetic, exercise based approach to the clinic. She focuses on client centered care, education, exercise prescription, and manual therapy techniques. Each of her patients will receive a comprehensive assessment prior to treatment, individualized treatment plan, and home exercise program.

Dani is a passionate physiotherapist, dedicated to helping individuals achieve their health and wellness goals. With a Master’s of Physical Therapy from Western University and a Bachelor’s degree in Human Kinetics from UBCO, she combines her academic knowledge with hands-on experience to provide effective, evidence-based care.
Born and raised in Kelowna, Dani has always had a strong interest in sports and movement. Her background as a competitive trampoline gymnast, where she represented Team Canada at many competitions, has instilled in her a deep understanding of physical performance and the importance of rehabilitation.
Dani employs a holistic, client-centered approach, empowering her clients to take an active role in their recovery. She works with her clients to craft tailored treatment plans that address each individual’s unique needs and goals.
When she’s not at the clinic, Dani enjoys staying active through fitness classes, hiking, and playing recreational pickleball on the weekends. Her enthusiasm for movement and health inspires her to create a positive impact in her community, helping others to live their best lives.
